Older adults lose as much as $36 billion annually to financial exploitation, and the internet is a prime tool for scammers. Social media, email, and websites help us to stay in touch with family and friends, shop from the comfort of our living room, and stay informed about the world. But using the internet comes with real risks to our data and privacy. Online scammers target older adults, so it’s important that you are proactively protecting yourself. That’s why MCRC worked with the Rose Foundation to develop an online safety training for older adults.
